Bitka s tujki

Medtem ko so eni navdušeno zrli skozi okno v padajoče bele pike in drugi gazili po belih strminah tržiškega visokogorja, sva midva bíla težko bitko z vsiljivimi in nadvse nadležnimi nevidnimi organizmi.

Kmalu zatem, so si izbrali novo žrtev in napadli še mojo skrbno negovalko Saro.

Po štirih dneh neprekinjenega kuhanja, švicanja, kašljanja, smrkanja, kihanja in brutalnega odganjanja ostankov teh nepovabljenih gostov s svežim hladnim zrakom, sva premagala letošnjo gripo in ji zadala smrtni udarec.

Fighting the little creatures

While some of you are enjoying the falling of white snow flakes, and the others are walking high mountain slopes, heavily covered with snow, we were fighting the battle with a bunch of very annoying
invisible creatures.

They caught me on thursday in the middle of work and they totally brought me down, so I hardly got back home. They were not satisfied just with me, they wanted more, so they attacked also Sara. We
were left in our new appartment all alone with those ungracious evils.

And the fight has started, our bodies got high fever, sometimes even more than 39°C, our heads became like overblown baloons, the skin smarted all over and the pain in the back got more and more unbearable. We were trying to defend ourselves by winding cold wet towels round our legs, by drinking litres and litres of hot tea and supporting eachother that everything will be over
soon.

Looking through the window and enjoying the snowfall was at that moment the last thing on our mind. We just wanted the time to go by as quickly as possible.

After four days of constant sweating, coughing, sniffing, sneezing and ventilating the room with fresh cold air to get rid of the rest of uninvited guests, we have finally defeated flu. We just need to get stronger again and we can also jump out to this beautiful white snowy world.
